Planning Appeals
Applications for planning permission, to display an
advertisement or for listed building consent are not always
successful.
If your application has been refused or even if it has been
granted permission but with conditions that you disagree
with, you have the opportunity to challenge that decision
by making an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate.
Enforcement Notice Appeals
If your Council thinks that you are carrying out
development without planning permission you may receive
an enforcement notice but you have the opportunity to
challenge the notice by making an appeal to the Planning
Inspectorate.
The Planning Inspectorate’s own statistics show that on
average only about one third of all appeals are successful
Professional Planning Advice
To improve your chances of making a successful appeal you should take advice
from a professional planning consultancy to guide you through the complexities
of the appeal process and make your case in the most appropriate and
compelling manner.
